Kanye West Scores Big With Classic Rap Beats

Kanye West Scores Big With Classic Rap Beats

Kanye West released his latest album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” this week, and it’s filled to the top with classic rap beats. If you like classic rap music, then there’s nothing not to love about this album, which features rap superstars and newcomers alike. In addition to hearing the latest that Kanye has to offer, you’ll also hear Rihanna, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Pusha T, and Swizz Beatz, along with a few artists you won’t always hear about making rap beats like Elton John, Alicia Keys and Justin Vernon.

West Shows Off What He Does Best

To date, the album has received serious critical praise, scoring a mean 93 out of 100 on the Metacritic scale. Metacritic measurements aren’t for everyone, but they do give a good idea of what the critics think of the album. There’s clearly at least one segment of the rap music cohort that favors a move back to the “classic” rap beats. The highest rated rap albums of the year – including Eminem’s “Recovery” – have featured the tried and true. What seem to sell the best right now are classic rap beats and new collaborations among old friends.

That’s a good observation for music makers who are looking to get into the rap music business right now. Classic beats and new sounds are hot fan favorites. That doesn’t mean there’s no room for new artists, though. Rap music, unlike many other genres, is probably the most receptive to new talent. There’s still plenty of room to entertain new sounds, and old sounds made by new musicians.

If you’re just looking to break into the business, and need a way to get started, consider downloading a copy of Sonic Producer. Sonic Producer is a top-of-the-line software package that can not only help you make rap beats, but can also teach you how to make the beats people want to hear.

Beat maker software doesn't need mixer

Who has the best beat maker software? There are options today for aspiring beat makers who want to create the best rap beats around, but which one should you choose if you’re just starting out? What should you look for in beat maker software?

Not All Beat Maker Software Is The Same

When it comes to making rap beats, you want software that is going to help you make your own music. You don’t want beat maker software that’s going to get you into trouble later on. That’s why it’s important to choose carefully!

Look at the computer platform you’re working on right now. That will help you determine immediately what choices are available to you. If you find the perfect beat maker software but it’s not available for your computer platform, you’re either going to have to settle for someone else’s beat maker software, or you’re going to have to make the investment in a new computer. Unless, of course, you can find a beat maker software package that’s available for both platforms.

You also want a beat maker software package that comes with samples. Lots and lots of samples. Not just any samples will do, though. You want royalty-free samples. If your beat maker software includes samples that the publisher hasn’t licensed for unlimited use, and you make beats that use unlicensed samples, you could find yourself in a lot of legal hot water later on – sometimes even ten years down the road.

You want beat maker software that’s going to show you how to use the software, and how to make rap beats that people want to hear. People’s musical tastes change over time. You want to be able to make the freshest beats, rather than just copying someone else’s style. You want software that’s going to help you figure out what people want to hear and why certain beats are more popular than others.

You don’t want to have to buy a lot of extra equipment, especially when you’re just starting out. You want beat maker software that contains all of the elements you’ll need to make fresh beats. Important things to look for are the number of unique tracks the beat maker software supports; can you mix the tracks with the beat maker software or do you need additional equipment for that?

You also want beat maker software that can export your music to MP3. Once your music is in MP3 format, you can distribute it in any way you want.

I think the best beat maker software for your money is Sonic Producer. Sonic Producer offers multi-platform support, thousands of royalty-free samples, video tutorials that help you learn how to use the beat maker software and make the beats people want to hear, and you can export your rap beats to MP3. Check out Sonic Producer!

Rapper Ryan Leslie Offers $1M For Return Of Rap Music On Laptop

Rapper Ryan Leslie Offers $1M For Return Of Rap Music On Laptop

Rapper Ryan Leslie recently had a laptop that contained all of his rap music stolen. The laptop in question was lifted from the singer’s Mercedes while he was touring in Cologne, Germany. The rapper’s security detail left the vehicle to escort the singer into a nightclub and a bag containing the laptop and $10,000 in cash and Leslie’s US passport was swiped while the car was unattended.

Reward Offered For Laptop’s Return

The MacBook laptop contained all of the singer’s music, plus other projects that he planned to distribute later this year and early next year. Initially, the singer offered a reward of $20,000 for the return of his laptop and hard drive, but increased it to a cool million in the hope that the materials would be returned. The theft did not impact the rapper’s tour schedule, and he will make planned appearances in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and England.

The reward demonstrates quite neatly how important the computer has become in making beats! Many musicians today work with computers more than they do with instruments. The computer is fundamental to the way rap musicians and hip-hop artists make beats. The loss of a computer can be devastating because it not only makes your music, but also stores what you’ve already done.

The painful and expensive lesson being taught here is that when you make your beats on a computer, as many of today’s top musicians do, make a backup plan for your work. Your computer or laptop should not be the only place in which your music and your work is stored.

You can replace your programs easily enough. Programs like Sonic Producer are available for download. If you lose your copy, you can simply download another one. Your music, however, is yours. You make it; you store it. It only makes sense to protect the work you’ve done.

With Sonic Producer, you can export your beats to MP3. Once your music is exported, you can share it with friends, transfer it to an MP3 player or make a library of your very own beats. However you make copies of your work, be sure to store at least one copy in a safe place. With the ability to export to MP3, you can store your completed works on CD or DVD. You can also upload your beats to an online backup storage service. That way, your beats will be available to you no matter where you are.

Eminem, Dr. Dre Make Rap Music Tracks

Eminem, Dr. Dre Make Rap Music Tracks

Rap artists Eminem and Dr. Dre are collaborating to make tracks that may appear on Dr. Dre’s new album, Detox. Eminem says that Dr. Dre will supply the rap beats and he’ll supply the lyrics. Eminem would not confirm that the music will make the final cut for Detox. Eminem and Dr. Dre have a long collaborative history, with Dr. Dre having signed Eminem to his Aftermath label following the release of Eminem’s Slim Shady EP and working as the executive producer for the Slim Shady LP.

Collaboration Is The Heart Of Rap Music

Dr. Dre collaborated with Eminem on one of Eminem’s most controversial songs, Guilty Conscience. In the song, Eminem and Dr. Dre take turns trying to convince different people to do or avoid doing morally wrong things. In the first verse of the song, Eminem tries to convince a man to rob a liquor store and kill the clerk, while Dr. Dre tries to talk the person out of committing the violent crime. The second verse features the pair arguing for and against a man committing a rape, and the final verse has the duo ultimately agreeing that a construction worker who comes home to discover his wife with another man should kill the pair.

Eminem did not indicate what the new tracks will cover or when they might be released. Eminem also recently appeared on Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album, in a track entitled Roman’s Revenge. Pink Friday is scheduled for release on Friday, November 22.

If you’re into the rap music scene, collaborations should be part of your plan. Today’s rap artists rarely work alone for an entire album, and combining rap styles often leads to an interesting product. Even if you’re new to rap music or are self-producing your tracks, a software tool like Sonic Producer can help.

Sonic Producer offers you the ability to make your own beats and create your own music, incorporate other beats into your style and export music to share. Sonic Producer is available for both the PC and Mac so there’s no additional equipment or software to buy. Just download Sonic Producer and get started.

Not sure what to do? No problem. Sonic Producer will teach you how to make beats with its extensive video tutorial library. Make the music you want to make and the beats your fans want to hear. With Sonic Producer, you’ll also get thousands of royalty-free samples that you can use and re-use any way you want to. When you’re finished, the tracks will be yours do to with what you want.

Rap Music Artist Lil' Wayne Headed For Studio After Release

Rap Music Artist Lil' Wayne Headed For Studio After Release

Music artist Lil Wayne will likely head for the studio directly following his anticipated November 4 release from the Riker’s Island state prison in New York. At least that’s what the head of Cash Money records – Lil’ Wayne’s label – expects the rap star to do.

Weezy Has Been Working Behind Bars

Lil’ Wayne, also known as Dwayne Carter, is serving an eight-month sentence for weapons possession. While in prison, Weezy says he’s been working out, dreaming up new raps and reading the Bible. Fans can follow his journey through his state prison stint on the Web site Weezy Thanx You. He did get himself into a little extra trouble for possessing an MP3 player, which is forbidden. That did get the rapper placed into solitary confinement, but it didn’t lengthen his sentence.

While in prison, Lil’ Wayne’s production team released “I Am Not A Human Being,” an album of the artist’s previously recorded music. The album is currently in the #1 position on the Billboard Rap Albums chart, having dislodged Eminem’s Recovery. It is not considered a follow up to Weezy’s Tha Carter series. Tha Carter IV is expected to be released in 2011.

It remains to be seen what will come out of Lil Wayne’s prison stint, but his producers and fans, and perhaps Lil Wayne himself are expecting a lot. Prior to entering prison, his producer said that he expects Lil Wayne to concentrate on lyrics and written music. Finding the right beat will come when Weezy makes his return to the studio.

Many songwriters start with the lyrics and make the beats later on. That’s a great way to allow the lyrics to shape the beats. If you’ve got a lot of music in your head, consider getting your beats out with a product like Sonic Producer. Sonic Producer is a great self-publishing tool for music producers of all abilities. For new musicians, Sonic Producer can show you how to create the beats your fans want to hear. Sonic Producer comes with all the tools you need to record professional tracks, and also comes with tutorials to help you get the most from the software.

Export your sounds to MP3 and carry your music with you wherever you go. You can also share your music with friends, local DJs and promoters, if you’re serious about making music professionally. All of the samples included in Sonic Producer are absolutely royalty-free, so you’re free to do whatever you want with the music you produce.
