Lil Wayne Sued Over Rap Beat For How To Love

Lil Wayne Sued Over Rap Beat For How To Love

Rights to a rap beat are the subject of a lawuit filed last week against rapper Lil Wayne and Drummer Boyz. Another rapper, Rich Rick, says that he bought the rights to the rap beat back in 2006 from the Drummer Boyz, but that the group re-sold the beat to Lil Wayne in exchange for a 35% royalty fee. According to the lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles last week, Rich Rick seeks all proceeds from the song plus a 10% interest penalty.

Unlicensed Rap Beats May Cost Lil Wayne Some Cash

Unlicensed rap beats can be the source of a lot of aggravation for artists in the business. Sampling is a key element to the best of today’s rap beats, but sampling often involves paying licensing fees or royalties. For a musician starting out, the licensing fees can be extreme.

If this is you, there’s another option you should consider: Sonic Producer. Sonic Producer comes with a full library of royalty-free rap beats that you can use in any creation. The beats are yours, so even if you end up selling the music, the money you make is yours to keep with no additional licensing fees or royalties due.

You get the entire Sonic Producer sample library when you purchase the Sonic Producer product. Make your own beats or mix in samples from our library to create a sound that’s uniquely yours. Choose from among thousands of samples, too!

The sample library isn’t the only benefit of using Sonic Producer. You also get a full library of video tutorials that tell you how to use Sonic Producer, and put music together that people want to hear.

Once you’re mixing as many as 16 tracks, export your music to MP3 and you’re good to go! Share your music with your friends, use it to accompany you at live performances, sell your music or give it away while you’re trying to break into the business.

Sonic Producer has it all, and it’s available for both the Macintosh and PC platforms. That means you don’t have to buy any additional computer equipment – you can use what you have! Sonic Producer is a great tool to use when you’re breaking into the business. It’s like having your own professional recording studio available to you around the clock. Bad Meets Evil Releases Hell: The Sequel

Bad Meets Evil Releases Hell: The Sequel

Rappers Eminem and Royce da 5’9″ reunite as Bad Meets Evil to release Hell: The Sequel rap album. The artists got together again to “make being lyrical cool again.” Royce da 5’9″ has nothing against the southern influence on rap beats, but he and Eminem want to bring the genre’s lyrical edge back to the mainstream rap hits. In an interview earlier this month, Royce and Peter Parker said that rap had gone through a “non-lyrical phase” and the album is meant to move hip-hop forward.

Album Debuted On June 14

The album is a wide-ranging collaboration, but one thing it isn’t missing is lyrics. Currently the most popular song on the 11-track set is Lighters, featuring a truly remarkable, nearly non-stop stream of profanity from Eminem offset by the more mellow music of Bruno Mars. Another track, Fast Lane, is also receiving a lot of popular interest.

Eminem takes aim at Lady Gaga in one line from “Kiss,” saying “Tell Lady Gaga she can quit her job at the post office/She’s still a male lady.” He also gets in a jab at Justin Bieber, though Eminem says it’s all in fun. In fact, there isn’t a radio-ready song on Hell: The Sequel, and that’s just how the producers want it. In addition to featuring Bruno Mars, the album also features tracks with Mike Epps and Slaughterhouse. Otherwise, listeners are in for fast-paced rap beats and old-style hardcore lyrics. Bad Meets Evil is expected to top the Billboard charts and already occupies the number one album spot on iTunes.

If you’re interested in making your own rap beats, or pitching in to make today’s rap a little more lyrical, try the number one beat-making software, Sonic Producer. Sonic Producer is filled with an awesome selection of royalty-free rap beats that you can use in any way you want. Record your beats using the built-in 16-channel mixer and export your beats to MP3. Sonic Producer is available for both the Macintosh and PC platforms and can help you get your rap career started. Even if you don’t want a career in music, but just want to make your own rap beats, there’s no better tool to have than Sonic Producer, if you want studio-quality recordings without the studio price tag.

XXL Magazine Names 2011 Freshman List For Hip Hop Beats

XXL Magazine Names 2011 Freshman List For Hip Hop Beats

XXL Magazine has debuted its list of the “most promising hip hop beats, rhymes, artists, labels and more.” The April 2011 issue, which has been in the works for months, features 11 hip hop artists whom you may not have heard of before. It also features some new lists, including Top Five Hip Hop Soul Artists, Top Five New Producers, Top Five New Groups and Top Five New Labels/Companies.

Music Still Open To New Hip Hop Artists

The magazine has produced its “Freshman” introduction for the last four years running. This year, the magazine features hip hop artists Big K.R.I.T, CyHi the Prynce, Diggy Simmons, Fred the Godson, Kendrick Lamar, Lil B, Lil Twist, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, Yelawolf, and YG.

If you haven’t heard of them, you’re not alone. None of these artists has landed on a major label, and most of their press has come from their own hard hustling to earn fans through self-produced music and online distribution. A few of the newcomers do have album deals, though.

So what does being selected as a XXL Freshman mean? Ask some of the alumni, including Big Sean, B.o.B, Kid Cudi, Wale, and Wiz Khalifa. You’re likely to be hearing a lot more about these performers and their hip hop beats in the coming months. Being an XXL Freshman comes along with a lot of publicity. To be sure, there are a few acts that don’t make it, but the staff at XXL have done a pretty good job of picking out the future stars of the hip hop genre each year.

These freshmen also demonstrate that it’s possible to break into the hip hop music scene with not a lot more than some fresh hip hop beats and a lot of determination. Hip hop is a great genre to get into, and there are plenty of great tools out there to help you make your mark. One of the best tools available today is Sonic Producer.

Sonic Producer is a software package that allows you to create professional sounding beats using your own computer. Sonic Producer has everything you need to mix as many as 16 tracks, and it comes loaded with thousands of royalty-free samples that you can use, mix and master to make your own unique sound.

When you make your own beats, you can develop your style the way you want to. You don’t need to spend time and money in a professional recording studio, because you’ll get a great sound out of Sonic Producer.
